Tuesday Fireside Sessions at Botanic House

It’s that time of the week again, what could be nicer than a cream pint of the black stuff or a chilled glass of wine on a Tuesday we ask you??

Serving food right up till 10pm in the bar or the restaurant then a few tunes to end a delightful evening!

We have been thrilled with the response so far but we are hoping these fireside sessions will be come a staple in the weekly diary, just nice to break up the week.

This week we have Andreas and Niall back with us, joined by Katherine our guest musician, profiles below…

We are delighted to have 3 core musicians join us this coming Tuesday, it won’t always be the same mix of people, but we will give advance notice when we can.

All musicians and singers are welcome to join in any Tuesday!

Andreas hails from a strong musical family background, his main instrument is guitar but he also has been known to pick up the banjo bass.

The musical styles he covers are jazz, bluegrass, trad & a bit of classical.

His primary band that he plays with are The Stars of the Commitments, but he also joins an 18 piece jazz band on Monday nights in Graingers on the Malahide Road.

Andreas has taken his talents to stages all over the world with an upcoming tour of the US to look forward to.  For now we are thrilled to have him lead the Tuesday sessions in Botanic House.

Expect to be impressed!

Niall is well known in all the music pubs of Dublin.  The Villager Chapelizod, O’ Donoghues on Baggot Street and Nancy Hands, Parkgate St to name but a few.

Niall sings and plays guitar or mandola.  He won’t want it mentioned, but has definitely been seen too, with a fiddle in his hand.

Niall has taken his talents to many foreign spots including Russia, Tenerife, South of France and Germany,  you will have to ask him directly about other destinations.

Thrilled to have him join us again this Tuesday at Botanic House.

Thrilled to have Katherine join us again this week  This lady has a very impressive CV, her current role as Leader of the Irish Chamber Orchestra keeps her very busy travelling.

She is a Professor at the CIT Cork School of Music and the Irish World Academy of Music at University of Limerick.
She plays a Jean Baptiste Vuillaume violin and her bows are by Irish maker Gary Leahy.  This lady will make that fiddle sing, rest assured.
She might even throw a song or two into the mix herself
